It's perfect if you want to enjoy the lake without getting wet and merely want a stroll rather than a hike. A park bench offers a scenic view of Payette Lake, and during certain seasons, wildflowers bloom. 

And the best part? You may bring your pet along as long as they're on a leash.

The kids will love playing on the Sharlie-inspired playground. According to local lore, a large, serpent-like creature lives in the 300-foot depths of Payette Lake. While no photos exist, this story is as much a part of a visit to McCall as Nessie is to the lochs in Scotland.
